Fri 20th Feb
Make your own transfer to the city for check in to your accommodation at Crowne Plaza Hobart. Positioned centrally in Tasmania’s vibrant capital, this modern hotel offers comfort, modern facilities and convenience for a great stay.
The group will meet for a welcome dinner at Core Restaurant, Crowne Plaza serving delicious locally sourced produce with a Tasmanian flair (2 course set menu - entree / main course with a glass of house wine or beer).
Sat 21st Feb
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel. There will be some time early this morning to explore Salamanca Markets, one of Tasmania’s most visited tourism attractions and loved outdoor markets, held every Saturday morning.
You will then meet your coach driver at the Hotel for a tour to the Tasman Peninsula.
Visit Port Arthur Historic Site - one of Tasmania’s most visited destinations. Hear the story of Tasmania’s famous UNESCO world heritage listed convict settlement. Feel the sense of isolation experienced by the convicts and discover the history of the early Australian Penal system. Your site entry includes a harbour cruise, essentials walking tour and free time to explore the site.
As you depart Port Arthur and return to Hobart, take in the sights of the Tasman Peninsula with stunning scenery such as Devil’s Kitchen, the Tasman Arch and Tessellated Pavement, on your scenic 1.5-hour drive to Hobart.
Sun 22nd Feb
After breakfast meet your coach driver to begin your journey to the beautiful West Coast.
With stops along the way including The Wall in the Wilderness, located at Derwent Bridge (the ½ way point between Hobart and Strahan) - a handmade wood carved sculpture telling a story of this area.
Continue your journey to Strahan, arriving late afternoon. Strahan is a former port located in the West Coast World Heritage area, now a major tourism hub.
Check in to your accommodation at Strahan Village, situated in the heart of Strahan on the Esplanade.
Mon 23rd Feb

This morning check in by 8am for one of your tour highlights - the Gordon River Cruise.
Spend the day on the famous Gordon River Cruise, witness the magical reflections of the Gordon River, travel to Hells Gate, the harbour entrance to the great southern ocean, also arriving at Sarah Island. You will be treated to a delicious buffet lunch whilst onboard, today is a real treat you will certainly remember! Sit in comfort on your cruise on the Main Deck window seating. Return back to Strahan around 2:30pm.
This evening enjoy Australia’s longest running play, The Ship That Never Was, telling the hilarious and dramatic true tale of the last Great Escape from Sarah Island, performed at the Richard Davey Amphitheatre.
Tues 24th Feb
Full breakfast at your accommodation.
Depart Strahan and travel to the North West Coast, via Cradle Mountain.
Whilst at Cradle Mountain there will be the opportunity to take the shuttle to Dove Lake (note: Access to Cradle Mountain National Park is via shuttle buses from the Visitor Centre. This is an additional $15 per adult, payable at the Visitor Centre and is valid for 72 hours. Please present your Parks Pass at the Visitor Centre on arrival to purchase your shuttle bus ticket). You will then visit Devils@Cradle, a breeding and conservation facility on a day keeper feeding tour, providing an unforgettable encounter seeing the extraordinary animals in action.
Continue travelling on to Devonport, home to the Spirit of Tasmania. Check in to your accommodation at Novotel Devonport, a premium 4 star new hotel in the city centre.
Wed 25th Feb
Breakfast at your accommodation.
Depart Devonport and travel along the scenic North West Coast to Smithton, via the coastal towns of Ulverstone, Penguin, Burnie and Table Cape.
Arrive at your accommodation for the next 2 nights - Tall Timbers Tasmania, the gateway to the Edge of the World with fabulous facilities to make the most of including a great restaurant, bar areas, indoor heated swimming pool and gymnasium.
Enjoy dinner tonight at Kauri Bistro, Tall Timbers (2 course set menu)
Thur 26th Feb
Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation.
Experience a Tarkine Tour from Tall Timbers to Edge of the World, where a designated guide will join your coach and take you on tour (includes morning tea). Visit prime farmland to Cape Grim Beef, Arthur River, Edge of the World Lookout etc.
Following the tour, your coach driver will take you to Stanley, where you will enjoy a free afternoon to explore this charming and quaint fishing town.
Spend some time exploring Stanley and whilst here you will tour Highfield Historic Site, overlooking Stanley & The Nut, Highfield Historic Site represents a stunning example of early colonial architecture whilst being treated to dramatic views of the rugged coastline and Bass Strait beyond.
Coach return back to Tall Timbers late afternoon.
Dinner this evening will be at Kauri Bistro, Tall Timbers (2 course set menu)

Enjoy breakfast at your accommodation, prior to checking out.
Today you will travel to Launceston.
On arrival you will visit Turners Stillhouse, Northern Tasmania’s premier craft distillery located in the iconic Tamar Valley Wine Route with views over the Tamar River, where you will be treated to a distillery tour and tasting.
After the distillery, there will be time to explore Cataract Gorge. A 5km stretch of forested river reserve wrapped around a dramatic gorge, just a stroll from Launceston’s city centre, with walking trails, a chairlift across the gorge, cafes and wildlife.
Accommodation for the 2 nights in Launceston is at Hotel Grand Chancellor, comfortable and spacious rooms in an elegant hotel setting.

Today you will spend time exploring Launceston starting the day with Tamar River Cruises on a Cataract Gorge 50 minute cruise. Learn about the history of Launceston's seaport, kings wharf, heritage properties and Cataract Gorge.
After a city tour you will travel to Josef Chromy Wines where you will enjoy a delicious "Let’s Do Lunch" experience, consisting of a 2-course Lunch with matched wines. Josef Chromy is one of Tasmania’s best known wineries and a stunning location to experience superb Tasmanian wines and fine cuisine.
Return back to the city after Lunch.
Sun 1st Mar
After Breakfast depart Launceston and travel to St Helens, the largest town on the East Coast.
You will stop at Bridestowe Lavender Estate. Bridestowe is one of the largest lavender farms in the Southern Hemisphere, with a visitor centre stocked with unique products containing Bridestowe’s famous lavender oil & Bobbie the Bear. Whilst here, you will enjoy a delicious morning tea in their onsite cafe followed by a private guided tour of the farm.
Travel the stunning North East countryside via Scottsdale, Derby and Pyengana, arriving in St Helens in the afternoon.
Accommodation this evening is at Panorama Hotel, St Helens, a waterfront setting surrounded by natural lagoons and gardens.
Mon 2nd Mar
Enjoy breakfast before heading down The Great Eastern Drive to Hobart.
Arrive at Freycinet National Park, best known for the stunning beauty of Wineglass Bay. There will be the opportunity for a walk to the Wineglass Bay Lookout (a steep 1.3km walk) or the less challenging but spectacular Cape Tourville Lighthouse walk which offers remarkable coastal and hazards views.
Before departing Coles Bay you will enjoy Tasmania’s finest seafood for Lunch at Freycinet Marine Farm.
Arrive in Hobart late afternoon for your final night, checking into Movenpick Hotel. Located in the heart of Hobart, with elegant rooms offering a unique Tasmanian-inspired design.
The group will meet for a farewell dinner at Tesoro Italian Restaurant, located at Movenpick Hotel. Offering a contemporary menu with great produce, great technique and great service to showcase the real art of Italian cuisine (2 course set menu).
