Day 1 Hobart Arrival
Welcome to Tasmania! Collect your hire car for the next 7 days from Hobart Airport. If you arrive early, the historic town of Richmond is just 15 minutes from the airport - it was one of Australia's first colonial settlements, and you can explore a wealth of well-preserved Georgian architecture. As well as Australia's first stone bridge and first Catholic church along with local artists' wares. This afternoon you might like to travel to the summit of kunanyi- Mt Wellington for extensive views over the greater Hobart area (weather dependent).

Day 2 Day at Leisure (Hobart & surrounds)
Today you have a booking for Zoodoo. Nestled in the heart of the Coal River Valley, only minutes from historic Richmond, Zoodoo is the perfect place to explore. You will have the opportunity to meet close up and hand feed kangaroos and wallabies in the walk-through native park and wander through the large bird aviary, plus many more experiences. In the afternoon, you might like to visit the wineries in the area or head back to Hobart and enjoy the Salamanca precinct.

Day 3 Maria Island
Today you have a booking for the Maria Island Cruise. It is an early start today, driving up Tasmanias beautiful East Coast to the seaside town of Triabunna. See the best of the UNESCO-listed Maria Island and its surrounding scenic isles on an all-inclusive tour complete with a sightseeing cruise, a tour of the Darlington Convict Settlement, and more. This tour also includes a gourmet buffet lunch onboard, as well as live commentary to make the most of your sightseeing experience.

Day 4 Hobart Hamilton
After checking out of your accommodation in Hobart take a scenic drive to Hamilton. Located beside the River Clyde, this quiet town was once a bustling frontier settlement with several working breweries, a string of hotels and a roaring illegal liquor trade. Check into your accommodation for tonight Curringa Farm is a 750 acre real working sheep and cropping farm, with about 3000 sheep for meat and wool production. Join a formal farm tour to see a sheep shearing demonstration, working farm dogs rounding up the sheep, an escorted forest walk and in depth conversations about crops and landcare. Settle in for the night at this award winning farmstay, set in natural bushland, overlooking picturesque Lake Meadowbank. For dinner you are all set with a BBQ hamper to cook yourself.

Day 5 Hamilton Launceston
Today your journey takes you north to Tasmanias second largest city, Launceston. Launceston is a vibrant hub for food and wine, culture, and nature. There are plenty of opportunities for stops along the Heritage Highway. The quaint towns mostly sprung up as 19th century coaching stops and military outposts between Hobart and Launceston. Today, the well-preserved towns are fascinating to visit, offering a delightful mix of old and new.

Day 6 Day at Leisure (Launceston & surrounds)
Today you have a booking for the Seahorse World & Platypus House. All around the world, crowds gather to admire seahorses in aquariums. But you can get much closer to these mysterious creatures at the completely unique facility at Beauty Point, in Tasmanias beautiful Tamar Valley, just 45 minutes from Launceston. This working seahorse farm gives you unique access to these magical creatures. An educational tour will lead you through The Cave of the Seahorse, working Seahorse Farm and the Wonders of the Southern Ocean Aquarium. Just next door you find the Platypus House, which offers a once in a lifetime opportunity to watch live Tasmanian Platypuses and Echidnas in daylight conditions and undercover. On your return to Launceston, perhaps visit the Tamar Valley wine district for some unique Tasmanian experiences.
