Day 1 – Launceston

 

Arrival Launceston, Tasmania's second-largest city, offers a unique charm with its population of just under 100,000 people. One of Australia's first colonial settlements, Launceston is rich in history with many historic homes and churches. Just ten minutes from the city, you can explore Cataract Gorge, a natural wonder. The Museum at Inveresk showcases Tasmania's ancient ecology with fascinating fossilized dinosaurs and coyote specimens. At dusk, don't miss the magical sight of thousands of black swans playing in the waters of the Tamar Wetlands.

Day 2 – Cradle Mountain

 

On your way to Cradle Mountain, consider a short stop in Sheffield, a vibrant tourist town renowned for its captivating artists' murals. Visiting Cradle Mountain, you will be required to purchase tickets for the shuttle bus at the Visitor centre which will allow you the opportunity to explore Tasmania's most iconic national park. A two-hour hike around Dove Lake will leave you feeling relaxed and refreshed. In the evening, stay at the Cradle Mountain Hotel, where you can enjoy visits from local wildlife right on your balcony.

Day 3 – Cradle Mountain- Stanley

 

Start your day with a visit to the Tasmania Devil Center, where you'll get up close and personal with one of the world's most endangered animals, unique to Tasmania. Learn about the genetic diseases threatening their population and the efforts being made to save them. In the afternoon, enjoy a leisurely drive through the forest towards Stanley, located in the northwest corner of the state. Perhaps be tempted to indulge in a delicious lobster feast before experiencing the enchanting penguin parade at dusk.

Day 4 – Stanley

 

In the morning, embark on an offshore adventure to observe sea lions and seals in their natural habitat, navigating the wind and waves. In the afternoon, choose to either hike or take a lift to The Nut, Australia's largest offshore monolithic rock. A two-hour hike on The Nut will reveal a diverse array of treasured plants and seabirds, offering breathtaking views and an unforgettable experience.

Day 5 – Stanley -Devonport

 

Today, take the opportunity to slow down and enjoy a leisurely tour along the northern coastline. Alternatively, experience truffle hunting at a local truffle farm and savour a feast of these culinary delights. Upon arriving in Devonport, immerse yourself in the vibrant life of Tasmania's busiest port town. Home of Tasmania’s Spirit of Tasmania ships.

Day 6 – Devonport-Bay of fires

 

The Bay of Fires is arguably one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. At dusk, the sun sets over the fiery orange granite rocks, creating a magnificent display reminiscent of fire. Whether you spend a relaxing afternoon soaking in the beauty or embark on a 2.5-hour hike along the Binalong Bay to Jeanneret Beach trail, this destination promises a delightful vacation experience.

Day 7 – Launceston Departure
