Day 1

We begin this adventure with a personalised home pick-up before we make our way to Hobart Airport. We have a direct flight today, so there will be plenty of time to get cosy and enjoy the flight. Once landing in Brisbane, we will join our coach guide who will take us to our home for the next few days, The Hotel Grand Chancellor Brisbane. You will have a bit of time to freshen up before we head downstairs for dinner at the onsite restaurant, Frescos. After dinner, you may like to relax and wind down for the evening, ready for a big day of exploring Brisbane tomorrow.

Day 2

Day two will begin with a slow start. Enjoy a lay-in and indulge in a full buffet breakfast at Frescos before we rejoin our tour driver for the day. Our first stop of the day will be to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre. This historic theatre is close-by to many iconic photography ops, including the colourful ‘Brisbane’ sign. We will head inside, to the Lyric Theatre, where we will take our seats for an exclusive behind the scenes look into the dancer’s rehearsal. With commentary from the artistic directors of Sleeping Beauty, we will learn about how the dancers prepare for performances and witness all the hard work that goes into putting on a magical show. Afterwards, we will head to the city’s botanic gardens where we will enjoy lunch at the Garden Club Cafe. Nestled amongst the flora, enjoy a delightful meal while the tranquil sounds of the birds and the breeze fill your ears. From here, we will explore the gardens further and visit the Old Government House. We will have a guided tour of the house and learn about the days past. There are plenty of local shops and stalls to explore in the area before we return to the hotel to freshen up before dinner at Frescos. After dinner, we will be collected once more by our lovely coach guide and taken to the Queensland Performing Arts Centre to enjoy a night at the theatre. Sleeping Beauty is a timeless classic that will have you mesmerised all night. We will return to our hotel and dream of tutus and pointe shoes.

Day 3

Today we begin our day with another full buffet breakfast, but we recommend you eat lightly, as today will be full of adventures for your tastebuds! We will join our coach guide as we head towards Moreton Bay. On the way, we will stop at Shorncliffe Pier for a look across the bay and to take some photos, trust me you’ll want to remember this view! Once in Moreton Bay, we will head to Woody Point where the Moreton Bay Food & Wine Festival is held. There are lots of stalls to discover, hosting everything from freshly caught seafood to handmade handbags! You will have plenty of time here to explore the festival and perhaps even shop up a storm! Once we are all festival-ed out, we will rejoin our coach guide and enjoy a scenic drive back towards Brisbane City. Our next stop will be to River City Cruises. Onboard their cruise vessel, we will enjoy a guided river cruise. Take advantage of the fantastic photo opportunities as we cruise past Brisbane’s most iconic sights including the Kangaroo Point Cliffs, City Centre and the Story Bridge. After we disembark, we will head back to the hotel for our final dinner together. We will end the night with our hearts, camera rolls & bellies very full!

Day 4

We have a slight early start this morning as we prepare to arrive at the airport for our direct flight back to Hobart. You may like to enjoy one last buffet breakfast at the hotel, or if you’d prefer to catch a few extra Z’s, you may purchase something before your flight at the airport. Once we land in Hobart, we will be greeted by one of our fabulous coach drivers and you will be taken home. We hope you have had the most wonderful time away!

• Post in booking request/s with cheque to PO Box 73, Richmond 7025 and we will do the rest, please include your pick-up point and best contact number.

• Phone or visit our office and we can make a booking for you and provide you with a receipt.

• BANK TRANSFER: Please contact us for payment details.

• DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours’ notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Cancellation under 48 hours is non-refundable.

• MULTI-DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment.

• PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form which includes details of dietary, mobility and next of kin. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.

• COVID19 VACCINATION: To participate in our tours you are required to be 'up-to-date' (as per Australian Government guidelines) with your COVID Vaccination. We require proof of vaccination and ask to sight your Covid Vaccination Certificate.

• If we cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.

• PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more, we can arrange a separate pick up for you.

• POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts. We encourage you to visit us at our office if you require a receipt or provide us with an email address.

• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for any of our multi-day tours.

• PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.

• ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.

• SAFETY: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.

• SEATING: Coal River Coaches now operates with a Seat Rotation system on all Coach Tours.

• WAIT LISTS: If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the “Waitlist”. This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
