Coastal Christmas Celebration

Day 1: 23rd December

Your journey begins with a personalised home pick-up before rolling into the heritage heart of Campbell Town for a morning tea break. From there, continue through picturesque countryside to Latrobe, where a delicious lunch awaits at the iconic Anvers Chocolate Factory, providing a true treat for the senses. The afternoon brings a touch of culture at the Burnie Regional Museum, before settling into seaside comfort at the Burnie Beachfront Voyager. As evening falls, unwind over a delightful dinner at Raindrop Restaurant and Bar. Then, the magic happens. Step into the festive spirit as you view dazzling Christmas lights and the charming Burnie Christmas Train, an experience sure to spark joy and nostalgia. End your day with a restful night by the coast.

Day 2: 24th December

Start your day with a relaxed breakfast before setting off on a scenic coastal journey through Tasmania’s north-west. Your first stop, Fossil Bluff Lookout, offers sweeping ocean views and striking geological formations, the perfect place for a few memorable photos. From there, continue inland to Duck River Dairy, where you will enjoy an immersive farm tour. Learn about the region’s rich agricultural heritage, meet the animals and sample some of the finest locally produced dairy, an authentic taste of Tasmania’s renowned food scene. By early afternoon, arrive in Stanley for a leisurely lunch at the Stanley Hotel Bistro, where fresh local produce and coastal views come together for a satisfying dining experience. After lunch, take a short trip to the iconic Nut. Ascend via chairlift and take in panoramic views of the coastline and township. Your last stop in Stanley is the historic Highfield House. On your self-guided tour discover one of the most significant intact colonial farm complexes in Australia. As the day winds down, travel to Devonport and check in at the Novotel Devonport. Unwind in modern comfort before enjoying a convenient on-site dinner, reflecting on a day filled with breathtaking scenery, rich history and exceptional local flavours.

Day 3: 25th December

Your Christmas Day begins with a relaxed breakfast at the hotel before setting off on a scenic coastal journey. You will then depart the hotel and make your first stop at Mersey Bluff Lighthouse, or as we would like to refer to it for this particular trip, the Candy Cane Lighthouse! Here, take in sweeping ocean views and enjoy a short visit before departing. Continuing along the coast, you will arrive in the charming seaside town of Penguin. Known for it’s quirky character and coastal charm, this is the perfect spot for a brief stroll and photos (you can’t miss Santa’s favourite penguin!) before departing. Next, travel to the stunning Table Cape Lookout. This picturesque location offers breathtaking views over the coastline and is the perfect setting for your relaxing picnic lunch. Take this time to unwind and take in the scenery. A short drive brings you to Table Cape Lighthouse. Enjoy a brief visit to this historic landmark and it’s spectacular surroundings before departing. In the afternoon, sit back and enjoy the drive as you make your way back to Novotel Devonport. The remainder of the afternoon is yours to relax and enjoy the hotel’s facilities at your leisure. The day concludes with a festive Christmas feast on site at 6:00pm, providing the perfect opportunity to unwind and celebrate after a day of coastal exploration.

Day 4: 26th December

Your Boxing Day morning begins with breakfast at the Novotel Devonport before a late morning departure for your journey home. Travel south through Tasmania’s picturesque landscapes, arriving in the historic town of Campbell Town once again. Here, you will have time to stretch your legs and enjoy lunch at your leisure and own cost - perhaps grabbing a bite from a local favourite like Banjo’s Bakery Cafe. After lunch, travel further south, where home drop offs mark the end of the trip. Enjoy your comfortable and unhurried Boxing Day, enjoying Tasmania’s charming countryside.
