Day 1:

Your Norfolk Island adventure begins today, but to ensure you start off on the right foot, we are taking it slowly with today being a travel day from Hobart to Sydney. Upon your arrival at Sydney Airport you will take the shuttle bus to your accommodation for the night at Holiday Inn Express Sydney Airport. This is a nice and convenient location for your early flight to Norfolk Island tomorrow.

As you will be arriving in Sydney in the early afternoon, this afternoon/tonight is at your leisure. Feel free to relax at the hotel, venture into the city or catch up with people you know in Sydney!

Day 2:

Good morning, Norfolk Island awaits you and today’s the day! You have an included breakfast this morning in the hotels onsite restaurant. Then it is time to make your way to the International terminal on the shuttle bus. Your flight departs at 9:55am. Please note that you will be departing from the international airport terminal, however Norfolk Island is not an international destination, so you do not require a passport.

You will touch down on the beautiful Norfolk Island at 1:25pm. Settle into your welcoming home-away-from-home for the next seven nights at the South Pacific Resort.

Your dinner tonight is at the South Pacific Resort Restaurant in Cook’s Landing Room. This is the same room that you will be enjoying breakfast each morning.

Day 3:

This morning after breakfast prepare to immerse yourself in the island's charm with an engaging Island Tour where informative guides introduce you to the beauty and diversity of this island paradise and set the scene for the rest of your stay.

Your afternoon will provide an opportunity to experience the proud heritage of the Pitcairn Island settlers as you discover the charming allure of the Bailey homestead and its enchanting gardens. Embark on a leisurely walk through the rustic barn, dairy, and captivating out-buildings, each brimming with history waiting to be uncovered. Explore a treasure trove of nostalgia and historical significance in the meticulously curated museum. You will witness the craftsmanship of a bygone era at the oldest working forge in the Pacific, a testament to time's enduring artistry. Step into an ex-New Zealand Army hut, where war-time memorabilia whispers tales of bravery and sacrifice. There is time to immerse yourself in an exclusive film capturing the essence of Norfolk Island, a visual journey that will leave you enchanted. Completing your experience, indulge in complimentary refreshments that will tantalise your taste buds. Unearth the past, savour the present, and immerse yourself in the rich tapestry of Norfolk Island's heritage.

Your dinner tonight is at the South Pacific Resort after-which you will be heading out for the Lantern Lit Ghost Tour! You step into a world illuminated by lanterns and embark on a hauntingly enchanting tour through the atmospheric historic streets of Norfolk Island's UNESCO World Heritage Listed Area. As you stroll through the dimly lit pathways, brace yourself for the macabre and spine-tingling tales of days long gone. Led by your knowledgeable local Ghost Host, you'll uncover the bizarre and tumultuous stories of our hauntingly rich history, bringing the enigmatic past to vivid life amidst the Olde Town's mysterious ambiance. Get ready to be immersed in a thrilling journey through Norfolk Island's eerie and captivating past.

Day 4:

To start out your morning you will have the opportunity to explore the markets and visit the church. The market is a great opportunity to find a lovely souvenir.

Embark on a captivating historical journey guided by a knowledgeable local historian within the UNESCO World Heritage Listed Convict Kingston area. This immersive tour offers a comprehensive exploration of the four distinct settlements that have shaped Norfolk Island's history, from the ancient Polynesians to the era of Convict Settlements, and ultimately, the legacy of the Bounty Mutineers. Your voyage through time also includes a poignant visit to the island's historic cemetery, where stories of the past come to life.

Be transported back in time to the year 1859, just three years after the arrival of the Pitcairn Islanders in 1856, for an unforgettable historical experience. Your journey into the past begins with a captivating setting, a dinner venue at the beautifully restored No. 9 Quality Row Building in Kingston. Here, you will not only enjoy a sumptuous three-course meal but also become an active participant in an enthralling mystery, "Who Killed the Surveyor?"

Day 5:

Today is completely at your leisure, whether you would like to spend time enjoying the amenities at the resort or getting out to explore, every day on Norfolk Island brings relaxation and discovery.

Some suggestions of things to do; visit the Botanical Gardens, Bounty Museum, wander through convict ruins, Emily Bay for a swim at the lagoon or go for a hike to explore the stunning scenery. Please note, being a public holiday many of the shops in the Burnt Pine town centre may not be open.

You'll have the unique opportunity to explore "Old Yenna”, the beloved home of author Colleen McCullough. As you are escorted through the splendid residence, you'll discover a mesmerising collection of artifacts gathered from her global adventures. These treasures hold the essence of her worldly experiences. As you tour the very spaces where she conducted her research and penned the captivating tales that have enraptured millions in countless languages, you'll gain insight into her creative process. Learn about how Colleen drew inspiration from Norfolk Island's paradisiacal surroundings, steeped in rich history and natural beauty. Delve into her deep connection with this island paradise and hear heartwarming stories of her contributions to Norfolk Island and the lives she touched. This is your chance to catch a glimpse into the life of a literary icon, to walk in her footsteps, and to immerse yourself in the profound impact she made on both the literary world and the Norfolk Island community.

Partake in an enriching Cultural Tour that takes you on a captivating journey through the island's original Polynesian heritage. Explore the island's cultural roots as you embark on a guided walk, discovering the diverse array of plants used for cooking and weaving, along with intriguing stories from the whaling era. Witness the art of fishing and gain insights into tapa cloth making and weaving during engaging demonstrations. This is the only cultural tour on the island that unveils Norfolk Island's rich heritage, encompassing influences from Tahiti, Pitcairn, and Norfolk Island itself. The Progressive Dinner comes highly recommended for any Norfolk Island itinerary. It’s the perfect way to get a taste of the real Norfolk lifestyle. Baunti’s progressive dinner takes you to some lovely homes on the island. All you have to do is relax and enjoy the home-cooked food, bursting with the goodness of fresh island produce. Chat with your fellow diners and soak up the stories of your island hosts. They’ll share their passion for their little island paradise. A complimentary glass of wine or juice accompanies the main course, tea and coffee served with dessert. You are welcome to BYO if you wish.

Day 7:

Learn how the Norfolk Islanders live in the 21st century and the essential services that make life on a tiny South Pacific Island possible. How do we bring petrol and gas onto the island, power our world, deal with our waste, forecast the weather, keep ourselves informed and make a global contribution? The Norfolk Today Tour will make it all clear! This is a real behind the scenes experience which shows the true workings on Norfolk Island.

Enjoy the interesting Farm & Industry Tour taking in a few different properties. A farm supplying seasonally grown fruit and vegetables to the marketplace, a palm nursery which is a state-of-the-art nursery exporting palms to the world market. A stunning home garden with hydroponics where you will enjoy a cuppa as you wander around the property which is home to Bounty Mutineer Descendants. This tour also travels to the Liqueur Factory and on the way to liqueur tasting, we will call past the local mill. A tour not to be missed whilst holidaying on the island.

This evening, prepare for an enlightening yet entertaining dinner theatre experience that offers not only a 3-course meal but also a captivating window into Norfolk Island's history. The talented cast of actors will transport you on a fascinating journey back in time, immersing you in the gripping narratives of the island's Commandants. You'll be captivated by the Commandants' tales, recounting the intriguing history of the notorious Convict Settlements on Norfolk Island and the varying treatment of convicts, ranging from sadistic to reform-minded approaches. Listen in awe as they recall one of the infamous rebellions that left a chilling mark on the island's past. Marvel at how the Commandants and their families adapted to life in this remote Pacific penal colony, striving to recreate a small slice of England amid the vast ocean. Day 8:

Kickstart your day with a Breakfast Bushwalk, an immersive adventure that combines nature exploration and a delicious meal. Accompanied by a knowledgeable local guide, you'll embark on a journey through Norfolk Island's lush landscapes, where you'll learn to identify the native grasses, ferns, shrubs, and trees. Delve into the world of birdwatching as you spot various avian species, and gain insights into the vital work of the National Park rangers. Rest assured, your guides cater to a variety of fitness levels, however we understand bushwalking is not for everyone, if you so choose you can skip the bushwalking and get right to the food.

During the Taste of Norfolk experience, you'll have the privilege of meeting passionate local producers face-to-face. This comprehensive tour also includes an engaging cooking demonstration, offering you a taste of traditional dishes passed down through generations by our Tahitian fore-mothers. It's a culinary and cultural journey you won't want to miss on your Norfolk Island adventure.

For a truly memorable evening set against the backdrop of a picturesque outdoor location you'll savour the freshest, locally caught fish during the Baunti Fish Fry experience. The feast will be prepared using traditional island methods and paired with a selection of seasonal dishes. Throughout the evening, be entertained by the enchanting performances of a talented singer and spirited island dancers, who will set the tone for an evening of fun and relaxation.

Day 9:

Awake to your final morning on Norfolk Island! Following a delightful breakfast, begin the day with a captivating journey to the renowned Cyclorama, a multi-award-winning attraction that consistently captivates visitors. The Cyclorama stands as one of Norfolk Island's top draws, beckoning travellers from far and wide. Step inside this extraordinary masterpiece, a 360° panoramic painting that will leave you awestruck. As you wander through, the breathtakingly realistic artwork transports you back in time, immersing you in the very heart of history. Feel as though you're a firsthand witness to the legendary events of the Bounty Mutiny and the resilient spirit of the Norfolk Island people. Prepare to be spellbound by this immersive experience that brings history to life in vivid detail.

It is then time to be whisked away to the airport. You will fly Norfolk Island to Sydney, then Sydney to Hobart.

• CASH: We love to see you! Visit our office between 8am - 4pm weekdays and we would be delighted to assist with a booking.

• CARD: Phone or visit our office to make payment using VISA, Mastercard or AMEX, unfortunately our payment system does not accept keycards.

• CHEQUE: Please phone or email us to ensure availability then send cheques to

• BANK TRANSFER: Please phone or email us to ensure availability and we will confirm bank details.

• DAY TOURS: To secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours’ notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Day Tour payments are non-refundable.

• MULTI-DAY TOURS: To secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment. After final payment due date, payment is non-refundable and non-transferable.

• PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.

• PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more passengers attending a day tour, we can arrange a separate pick up for you. All Travel Club multi-day tours have a Hobart Greater region home pick up, unless otherwise stated.

• POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts unless requested, postage charges will apply. When phoning through payment we encourage you to provide us with an email address to receive receipts.

• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance prior to paying your final balance for any of our multi-day tours.

• PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.

• ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.

• SAFETY: Love Tasmania Tours and Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.

• WAIT LISTS: If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the “Waitlist”. This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
