Day 1

Your garden lover's adventure begins today as you fly from Hobart to Melbourne. Upon arrival, you'll be enchanted by the vibrant city atmosphere and breathtaking floral displays that await you. We make our way to the iconic Royal Botanic Gardens, a botanical wonderland in the heart of the city. At the Terrace Café nestled within the Botanic Gardens indulge in lunch (at own cost) while immersing yourself in the picturesque setting. After lunch you are welcome to take a leisurely stroll through the lush landscapes, guided by the vibrant colours that surround you. The Gardens boast an extensive collection of indigenous and exotic plants, making it a true paradise for any garden enthusiast. Venture 30 minutes beyond the city to visit the magnificent Rippon Lea Estate. This splendid Victorian mansion is surrounded by breathtaking gardens that are sure to captivate your senses. Wander through the meticulously maintained lawns, exquisite flower beds, and enchanting paths lined with fragrant blooms. Take your time to appreciate the historic architecture and the lush tapestry of colours that adorn every corner of this remarkable estate as you participate in a mansion tour. You are then transported to the Hotel Grand Chancellor Melbourne to check in, this will be home for the duration of the tour.

Day 2

Today, you'll discover more hidden gems on a captivating journey starting with the fantastic McClelland Sculpture Park & Gallery. Set in natural bushland experience culture through the connection of art to the environment on a guided tour. At the onsite restaurant be treated to a sweet treat, perhaps a cake or ice cream before moving on to your next destination. Cruden Farm awaits your exploration, once the home of Dame Elisabeth Murdoch this beautiful green space is a working farm and garden. Immerse yourself in the rich history of this stately property. Your adventure continues to Heronswood Garden nestled in the heart of the Mornington Peninsula. Owned by the Diggers Club, this garden is renowned for its botanical diversity and its dedication to preserving heirloom plants. Embark on a self-guided tour, discovering the secrets and significance of this botanical haven as you wander through its enchanting landscapes. Then enjoy a delicious lunch onsite where you can take pleasure in a meal crafted from fresh, locally sourced ingredients.

Day 3

The Melbourne International Flower and Garden Show (MIFGS) is a prestigious annual event that showcases the best of horticulture and landscaping in Australia. Since the show began in 1995, it has grown in popularity and has become one of the most anticipated events in the gardening and landscaping community. The MIFGS brings together talented landscape designers, florists, and horticulturists who transform the exhibition space into a breathtaking display of creativity and beauty. The show features stunning landscape gardens, floral displays, and innovative garden designs that inspire and captivate visitors. It provides a platform for professionals and enthusiasts to showcase their expertise, share knowledge, and celebrate the artistry of gardens. The MIFGS offers a comprehensive experience that appeals to both seasoned garden lovers and those new to the world of horticulture. With its vibrant atmosphere, educational workshops, and a wide array of exhibits, the MIFGS is a must-visit for anyone who appreciates the beauty and wonders of nature.

Day 4

Today, your group will embark on a delightful journey through captivating Macedon Ranges. Your first stop is the renowned Forest Glade Garden, boasting an enchanting collection of plants, trees, and flowers from around the world. As you wander through the garden's meandering paths admire the vibrant blooms and marvel at the towering trees in what feels like a flora haven. Prepare to indulge in the finer pleasures of life at Mount Macedon Winery, Restaurant and Cellar Door. Here, amidst the rolling hills of the vineyard, you'll experience a true taste of the region. Savor the award-winning wines (optional wine tasting at additional cost) and relish a sumptuous meal made from locally sourced ingredients. Immerse yourself in the breathtaking panoramic views while enjoying the warm hospitality of the winery. It is then time to bid farewell to the Macedon Ranges as we make our way back to Melbourne CBD.

Day 5

A day of botanical exploration and gastronomic delights awaits! You embark on a captivating journey through the scenic Yarra Valley. Begin your day with a delectable breakfast at the Yarra Valley Chocolatier & Ice Creamery. Dessert for breakfast sounds like a wonderful way to start the day, with many mouth-watering sweets on offer. However, there is also a great selection of savoury breakfast items available. Next, immerse yourself in the unique beauty of Alowyn Gardens. This privately owned garden is a horticultural masterpiece, offering a range of colours, textures, and scents that will captivate your senses. Take a leisurely stroll through the stunning landscapes, meandering pathways, and enchanting water features. Marvel at the intricately designed themed gardens, each with its own distinct character and charm. Alowyn Gardens is renowned for its rare and exotic plant species, making it a haven for plant enthusiasts and garden lovers alike. For a truly extraordinary experience, we venture to the Edible Forest. This innovative permaculture garden combines sustainable agriculture with artistic design. Explore the lush surroundings and discover a diverse range of edible plants and herbs, thoughtfully arranged to create a visually stunning landscape. The next stop, Sutherland Estate, a picturesque vineyard nestled in the Yarra Valley hills. Sutherland Estate is not only renowned for its exceptional wines but also for its breathtaking views. Enjoy a wine tasting experience, where you can sample a selection of their premium wines, each carefully crafted to reflect the unique terroir of the region. Pair your wines with delectable food platters featuring local produce, allowing the flavours to harmonise and enhance your tasting experience. Sit back, relax, and soak in the panoramic vistas of the surrounding vineyards and rolling hills.

Day 6

You have a day free to explore Melbourne CBD and its surrounding areas, you're in for a treat! Melbourne offers a vibrant mix of cultural, culinary, and, of course, natural wonders. Whether you want to explore more gardens, shop, visit a gallery or indulge in the delicious food scene, the city and its surroundings are filled with endless possibilities for exploration and enjoyment. Day 7

Today we find ourselves in the scenic Dandenong Ranges for your visit to the magnificent Cloudehill Garden. This expansive garden is renowned for its stunning array of plantings, impressive views, and captivating design. Stroll through the various garden spaces, each with its own distinct character and charm. Continuing on, we venture to the town of Sassafras. A place of old-world charm and cozy ambiance known for its artsy vibe and unique boutiques. Sassafras offers an array of shops, galleries, and antique stores. Browse through the quaint streets, discover local craftsmanship, and, being our last day, perhaps find a special souvenir to remember your visit. While here it is the perfect opportunity to grab lunch (at own cost) from one of many local cafes, perhaps the populer Miss Marple’s Tearoom. Take the opportunity to soak up the last of our amazing garden experiences as it is then time to head to the airport for your return home, reflecting on the captivating gardens you've explored, the flavours you've savoured, and the memories created.
