Adelaide Highlights & Holiday Delights

Day 1: 11th December

Your journey begins with a personalised home pick-up before travelling to the Hobart Airport. You have a comfortable stop over in Melbourne where you can stretch your legs, have a browse, grab a coffee at own cost, or simply relax before continuing on to Adelaide. Upon arriving in Adelaide, you will head straight to the beautiful beachside suburb of Glenelg, a favourite destination known for its relaxed coastal charm, scenic shoreline and lively atmosphere. Take a leisurely stroll along the foreshore, have a browse or enjoy a delicious bite to eat by the beach. Later in the afternoon, make your way to the stylish Adelaide Rockford Hotel for check-in. Enjoy some free time to settle into your home for the next three nights, relax in comfort or perhaps head out and discover a little more of Adelaide at your own pace, before joining the group for a lovely onsite dinner to complete the day.

Day 2: 12th December

Start your day with a delicious onsite breakfast before setting off for a day filled with festive cheer, sweet treats, beautiful gardens and unforgettable Christmas magic. The fun begins with a visit to the iconic Haigh’s Chocolates Visitor Centre, where you will enjoy the irresistible aroma of freshly made chocolate and have the chance to indulge in some delicious tastings. From there you will step into the peaceful beauty of Himeji Garden, a tranquil Japanese-inspired oasis tucked away in the heart of the city. Wander through serene pathways, admire the carefully landscaped gardens and enjoy a quiet moment surrounded by nature. Next, head to the charming Peter Rabbit Cafe for a delightful lunch experience. With its whimsical atmosphere, lush greenery and cosy setting, it’s the perfect place to relax and enjoy a meal with your fellow travelers. The festive spirit truly comes alive in the afternoon, as you visit the enchanting Adelady Christmas Village at Victoria Square. Browse the Christmas market stalls, soak up the joyful atmosphere and marvel at the giant Christmas Tree lighting up the city. With twinkling lights, seasonal treats and festive entertainment, this is Christmas magic at it’s finest. After some time to relax back at the hotel, the evening culminates with the spectacular Starlit Christmas at the Adelaide Convention Centre. Prepare to be swept away by an incredible night of music, celebration and Christmas spirit in a dazzling live performance that captures the joy and wonder of the festive season.

Day 3: 13th December

Enjoy another relaxed morning with breakfast onsite before setting out to experience more of Adelaide’s most charming and picturesque sights. Today’s journey begins with a visit to the stunning Qing-Dao Rose Garden, where colourful blooms, peaceful surroundings and beautifully landscaped gardens create the perfect setting for a leisurely stroll and memorable photos. From there, you will make your way to the iconic Popeye for a delightful Devonshire Tea Cruise along the scenic River Torrens. Sit back and relax as you glide through the heart of Adelaide, taking in the tranquil river views while enjoying freshly baked scones with jam and cream, accompanied by tea or coffee. This is a wonderful, relaxing experience and a true highlight of the day. After the cruise, arrive at the beautiful Adelaide Botanic Garden, one of the city’s most treasured attractions. Enjoy free time to wander the stunning gardens, purchase lunch at your leisure and soak up the peaceful atmosphere. The afternoon is yours to explore Adelaide your way with a “choose your own adventure” experience. Whether you would like to discover world-class wines at the National Wine Centre of Australia, meet incredible wildlife at Adelaide Zoo or immerse yourself in culture and creativity at the Art Gallery of South Australia, there is something to suit every interest. After a wonderful day of sightseeing, relaxation and discovery, return to the hotel to freshen up before enjoying a lovely farewell dinner together onsite.

Day 4: 14th December

Enjoy a relaxed breakfast onsite before you farewell the city and journey into the picturesque Hahndorf, Australia’s oldest surviving German settlement and one of the Adelaide Hills’ most loved destinations. With it’s tree-lined streets, historic buildings, artisan stores, boutique shops and cosy cafes, Hahndorf offers the perfect blend of country charm and German character. Enjoy free time to wander at your own pace, browse handcrafted gifts, sample local produce or simply soak up the welcoming atmosphere of this beautiful village. Continue to the iconic Beerenberg Farm, famous for it’s delicious locally made jams, farm-fresh produce and stunning rural setting. Here, enjoy an early lunch/morning tea, surrounded by the beauty of the Adelaide Hills, the perfect way to conclude your unforgettable getaway. Afterwards, make your way to Adelaide Airport for our return flight home to Hobart, where comfortable home drop-offs await, ensuring your journey finishes just as smoothly as it began.
