Day 1: Saturday 12th October
Leaving Hobart we will embark on a scenic journey, bidding farewell to the city and opening the door to a weekend filled with natural wonders. We will stop at the historic town of Ross for Morning Tea.
Hopping back on board our coach we will make our way to the Wynyard Tulip Festival. The Wynyard Tulip Festival is a spectacular day of festivities held at Gutteridge Gardens. The festival celebrates the breathtaking tulips in full bloom as well as all that makes Waratah-Wynyard idyllic and unique. What to expect at the Wynyard Tulip Festival - a huge array of food stalls, plentiful entertainment, and stunning displays. You will have ample time to browse the stalls and purchase some food.
We then will embark on a short drive to Table Cape Tulip Farm, where you can Immerse yourself in a kaleidoscope of colours. Stroll through the meticulously manicured fields. Your senses will be enchanted by the vibrant hues, creating a tapestry of natural artistry.
After a captivating day we make our way to the charming coastal town of Somerset, retreat to the comfort of the Seabrook Hotel for a perfect seaside escape. Nestled in the heart of the Waratah/Wynyard municipality, this idyllic hotel offers a tranquil haven overlooking the mesmerising Tasman Sea. Allow the soothing sounds of the waves to serenade you as you unwind from the festivities.

Day 2: Sunday 13th October, 2024
Begin your day with the promise of new adventures. As you drive toward the coastal town of Penguin, catch glimpses of the serene coastline and perhaps pause briefly to enjoy the coastal breeze. Don't miss the iconic Big Penguin, a whimsical local landmark perfect for a memorable photo. We will then stop in Sheffield, to enjoy the artistic wonders, where murals tell tales of local history and culture. Wander through the streets adorned with vibrant artwork, each mural weaving a unique narrative.
Resume your journey, driving through the Lakes District, where we will be stopping in Miena for lunch.
Set out on the final leg of your journey back to Hobart. Reflect on the captivating tulip fields, the artistic murals, and the diverse landscapes of Tasmania that have coloured your weekend.

DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Cancellation under 48 hours is non-refundable.
MULTI-DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment.
PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form which includes details of dietary, mobility and next of kin. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.
COVID19 VACCINATION: To participate in our tours you are required to be 'up-to-date' (as per Australian Government guidelines) with your COVID Vaccination. We require proof of vaccination and ask to sight your Covid Vaccination Certificate.
If we cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.
PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more, we can arrange a separate pick up for you.
POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts. We encourage you to visit us at our office if you require a receipt or provide us with an email address.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for any of our multi-day tours.
PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.
ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.
SAFETY: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.
SEATING: Coal River Coaches now operates with a Seat Rotation system on all Coach Tours.
WAIT LISTS: If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the Waitlist. This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
