Day 1
For our wonderful Flinders Island adventure we fly with Sharp Airlines out of Launceston, so
today, once you have been collected from home we make our way up north. You will have
some free time in Launceston for the afternoon and you are more than welcome to grab a
delicious dinner from the plentiful options available. We stay the night at the Hotel grand
Chancellor Launceston for tomorrows early start.
Day 2
Rise and shine for your beautiful holiday it’s time to board the flight to Flinders Island.
Arriving at Whitemark your wonderful local guide is there to greet you with the coach which
will take the group on a journey that will showcase the island's natural beauty and rich
history.
Take in the breathtaking panoramas from Walkers Lookout and immerse yourself in the
mesmerising landscapes that stretch before you. Explore the charming town of Whitemark,
savouring its historical significance and local ambiance.
Indulge in a delectable meal at the renowned Interstate Hotel, while learning about the
island's fascinating past. Traverse picturesque farmland and discover hidden gems like
Cameron's Inlet, where the tranquillity of the ocean beckons.
Uncover the island's connection to the outside world as you explore Lady Barron's bustling
port area. Enjoy a leisurely walk along Yellow Beach, indulging in afternoon tea amidst the
island's natural wonders.
Each night you will relax and unwind at the comfortable Furneaux Tavern, reflecting on your
day's adventures surrounded by the island's undeniable charm.
Day 3
Continue your exploration, encountering majestic formations like Castle Rock and serene
spots like the North East River. Step back in time as you visit Palana coastal village and the
WW2 radar station, delving into Flinders Island's captivating history.
For lunch you will enjoy a picnic at Killiecrankie Bay, where you may spot a Killiecrankie
‘diamond’. Immerse yourself in the island's heritage at Settlement Point, Wybalenna, and
the Furneaux Museum. After which, savour afternoon tea at a picturesque location.
Day 4
Today you embark on a nature-filled adventure, including a short walk along the Mt
Strzelecki Track, morning tea at Trousers Point beach, and the panoramic views from
Fotheringate Bay.
Lunch is catered by Mountain Seas Lodge before you take a drive past the Islands Eco
friendly power-station and school. For the afternoon you make your way out to Sawyers
Bay.
Day 5
The fun continues this morning as you head out on a cruise around the island aboard the
10m luxury cruiser ‘Strait Lady'. You make your way between Little Green Island and Great
Dog Island. From the waters experience a different perspective, followed by a tour of the
marked geology trail uncovering the secrets embedded within ancient rocks and formations.
The next stop is a property in Avondale where you will get to experience a farm tour and
enjoy a meal in the stunning garden. This is followed by an opportunity to treat yourself, as
we make our way to Unavale Vineyard for a wine tasting, the perfect place to sit and reflect,
allowing the beauty of the land and sea to leave an indelible mark on your soul.
Day 6
What a wonderful trip it has been, when you wake this morning, you will do so satisfied that
you have explored all the wonders Flinders Island has to offer. It is unfortunately time to
depart for your oasis as we fly back into Launceston and make our return journey home.

BOOKING INFORMATION AND PAYMENT METHODS
• Post in booking request/s with cheque to PO Box 73, Richmond 7025 and we will do the rest, please include your pick-up point and best contact number.
• Phone or visit our office and we can make a booking for you and provide you with a receipt.
• BANK TRANSFER: Please contact us for detail if you wish to pay via bank transfer.
• DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours’ notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Cancellation under 48 hours is non-refundable.
• MULTI-DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment.
• PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form which includes details of dietary, mobility and next of kin. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.
• COVID19 VACCINATION: To participate in our tours you are required to be 'up-to-date' (as per Australian Government guidelines) with your COVID Vaccination. We require proof of vaccination and ask to sight your Covid Vaccination Certificate.
• If we cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.
• PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more, we can arrange a separate pick up for you.
• POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts. We encourage you to visit us at our office if you require a receipt or provide us with an email address.
• TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for any of our multi-day tours.
• PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.
• ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.
• SAFETY: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.
• SEATING: Coal River Coaches now operates with a Seat Rotation system on all Coach Tours.
• WAIT LISTS: If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the “Waitlist”. This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
