Join us on this tour of the North West of Tasmania, an area which showcases many of the states most unique land features and which holds a lot of interesting history.
Highlights across the first two days of this tour include visiting The Nut, Table Cape Lighthouse, Milkshake Hills, Lake Chisholm, Sumac Lookout, Arthur River, the Edge of the World and of course Corinna Wilderness Experience.
The retreat at Corinna is home to an array of unique cabins amongst the nature and many fun activities to partake in. One such activity is the Arcadia II River Cruise that will take you along The Pieman. Corinna Tavern has a range of gourmet food that you will be able to enjoy for dinner over two nights and there will be plenty of free time to partake in the various beautiful and informative walks.
Our final day takes us to West Coast Wilderness Railway, Iron Blow Lookout and Nelson Falls.

We begin our journey to the West Coast by first heading north making a couple of stops along the way for morning tea and to see the amazing sites. One such location is Table Cape where we will take in the stunning landscape from the lookout and go on an insightful Lighthouse tour where you can learn about the maritime history and the region.
We then go to one of the most amazing attractions in Tassie, The Nut in Stanley. Whether you wish to take the walking track, the Chairlift or go to the top onboard the bus you will have fantastic photo opportunities along the way. Our home for the night is in Smithton at The Bridge Hotel.
Today we depart for our Tarkine Touring Experience with our knowledgeable guide. We will be seeing dramatic natural landscapes at these remarkable places including Milkshake Hills, Lake Chisholm, Sumac Lookout, Arthur River and Edge of the World. The wilderness of the west is absolutely astounding. We then make our way to Corinna where we will check-in to the retreat before sitting down to enough a delicious dinner at the Tavern.B, L , D
We start our morning with breakfast before we climb aboard the Arcadia II River Cruise. This historic vessel has an interesting story and is in fact the only Huon pine river cruiser still operating anywhere in the world. The Pieman Area is both beautiful and has a long history worth learning about. You may even be lucky enough to spot a platypus.
After the cruise you have free time until dinner. With an array of activities you are sure to have a unique experience. The Huon Pine Walk, which can be completed in approx. 20 minutes, is easily accessible and has interpretation information along the way for an all-encompassing experience. Kayaks are available for hire to do the Savage River Paddle where you will come across the SS Croydon shipwreck and Lovers Falls.
We must unfortunately depart our wilderness wonderland today, but we are not yet done with amazing nature experiences. We make our way to Queenstown where will come across the West Coast Wilderness Railway Train Station, you may wish to take the opportunity to purchase morning tea at the café. We keep moving to Iron Blow Lookout and Nelson Falls before stopping for lunch at Derwent Bridge Hotel for a comforting meal. With fully bellies and amazing memories we return to Hobart.B, L

DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Cancellation under 48 hours is non-refundable.
MULTI-DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment.
PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form which includes details of dietary, mobility and next of kin. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.
COVID19 VACCINATION: We require your COVID Vaccination information and ask for copy of your Vaccination Certificate to keep on file when you pay your initial deposit for a tour booking as our suppliers such as hotels & airlines are now requiring this information.
If we cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.
PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more, we can arrange a separate pick up for you.
POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts. We encourage you to visit us at our office if you require a receipt or provide us with an email address.
TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for any of our multi-day tours. We can provide you with a quotation.
PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.
ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.
SAFETY: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for.
SEATING: Coal River Coaches now operates with a Seat Rotation system on all Coach Tours.
WAIT LISTS: If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the Waitlist. This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
