Day 1

Today we depart Hobart for Brisbane to start our adventure. As you step out onto the tarmac you will be greeted with the welcome warmth of Queensland. After taking time to purchase lunch and gather bags we will head to our accommodation at Mercure Gold Coast which will be our home for the duration of our stay. You will have time to get settled and unpack before we go to the Casino, our primary purpose of going here is for a great meal of your choice at the many on-site restaurants, however you are welcome to do as you please.

Day 2

Tamborine Mountain is today's destination with stops including the rainforest skywalk, glow worm caves, Cedar Creek Estate, Hampton Estate, the gallery walk and Curtis Falls. It will be the perfect balance of relaxation and amazing experiences. We will get to enjoy all the best wine, food and nature.

Day 3

We have a planned shopping day today starting at Harbour Town and then Pacific Fair, be warned these shopping outlets and malls are huge so you may return with more than you thought! You will be at Pacific Fair at dinner time so take your pick of the many delicious restaurants. Alternatively you can choose to have a free day in which case your options of activities for the day are endless.

Day 4

Today we will be journeying south to Currumbin. Our first stop is the Eco Village, famous for its sustainability in environmental development, as well as being home to approximately 65 resident kangaroos. While here you have the option to purchase morning tea or just sit enjoy the unique grounds. For those of you who enjoy a nice cold beer in the afternoon on a hot day our next quick stop, Balter Brewing, will tickle your fancy. However, today's main event is Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary where you can learn about and observe a variety of mammals, birds and reptiles. There are also many shows to enjoy throughout the afternoon.

Day 5

Do you enjoy things that are a bit cheesy? Well this kitsch day has it all, and where do we find all these fun activities you ask... Surfers Paradise of course! From the Wax Museum, Ripley's Believe it or Not, the Aqua Duck and free time to get up to some mischief, there is much entertainment to be had.

Day 6

The destination for today is Tangalooma Island. Departing from Brisbane we hop on board a cruise which takes us over to the island. When we arrive, we have full access to the resort. You are welcome to relax, enjoying the pool, the beach or the bar. Or you may wish to book yourself into some activities. In the afternoon we will go of a wrecks sight-seeing and fish feeding cruise. There is a total of 15 shipwrecks all with interesting stories which you shall learn about. The wrecks are now home to many creatures including fish, dolphins, wobbegongs and dugongs. You will never want to leave but the cruise will take us back to Brisbane for our return to Mercure.

Day 7

Today's adventure takes us to the Australia Zoo. On the way we stop at a beautiful cafe located right on the water's edge in Woody Point for the opportunity to purchase morning tea or just enjoy your surroundings. Then it's off to see the crocodiles, elephants, emus, giraffes, meerkats, tigers, wombats, kangaroos, zebras numerous reptiles and bird species. There are many opportunities to learn about animal conservation and the animals themselves.

Day 8

Free day! Whether you want to relax at the hotel, do more shopping, go to the beach, visit Sea World or who knows maybe even go jet boating, today is the day.

Day 9

Today is our last day but the fun isn't over yet. Our breakfast this morning is at Sky Point Observation Deck. We will be at the highest point in the Gold Coast while enjoying a buffet breakfast. You will have a 360-degree view of the sky, the buildings below and the beach will stretch out in front of you. It truly is a magnificent sight. After breakfast you will have a bit of free time to explore Cavill Avenue before hopping on board the bus to take us to Coolangatta Airport.

DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, full payment is required immediately. If you are unable to attend a day tour, we require 48 hours’ notice and we can provide you with a credit to use on another day tour. Cancellation under 48 hours is non-refundable.

MULTI-DAY TOURS: to secure your seat, a deposit is required immediately. This deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable to other tours. There will be a final date provided for the remainder of the package payment.

PASSENGER FORMS: All travellers on our Multi Day and Interstate/ International Tours are required to complete a Passenger Form which includes details of dietary, mobility and next of kin. This only needs to be completed once or updated when your details change.

COVID19 VACCINATION: We require your COVID Vaccination information and ask for copy of your Vaccination Certificate to keep on file when you pay your initial deposit for a tour booking as our suppliers such as hotels & airlines are now requiring this information.

If we cancel a tour for any reason, we can provide a refund or credit to be used within 18 months.

PICK UP: If you have a group of 6 or more, we can arrange a separate pick up for you.

POSTAGE: Due to increased cost of postage & delays we will not be posting payment receipts. We encourage you to visit us at our office if you require a receipt or provide us with an email address.

TRAVEL INSURANCE: We strongly recommend you obtain appropriate travel insurance at the time of paying your deposit for any of our multi-day tours. We can provide you with a quotation.

PRICE CHANGES: Prices may change without notification.

ITINERARY CHANGES: We reserve the right to alter or omit any part of the itinerary.

SAFETY: Coal River Coaches reserves the right to decline to carry anyone if it is felt the individual cannot cope with the requirements of the tour, or who may require services that we cannot guarantee will be available, or if meals (due to certain dietary requirements) cannot be catered for. 

SEATING:

Coal River Coaches now operates with a Seat Rotation system on all Coach Tours.

WAIT LISTS:If a Tour that you want to go on is full, we can pop you on the “Waitlist”.  This means if we have a cancellation, we will contact you.
